Hilliard’s Fourth of July Celebration is all new this year!

Following the annual 4th of July parade, which starts at 10 a.m., head out to Roger A Reynolds Municipal Park for a full day of family fun and fireworks on Wednesday, July 4th!

Enjoy the pool, which will open at noon and offer pool activities and games from 2-4 p.m.

Check out the event’s first ever digital scavenger hunt that will be going on all day long for a chance to win prizes. There will also be a variety of local food trucks to enjoy at the park and live music by country rock band Nashville Crush starting at 6 p.m.

A 30-minute firework display will start at dusk and be accompanied by a soundtrack with family-appropriate music. Please keep in mind when choosing a place to sit that the firework shoot location has been moved to the pond area west of the ball-fields.

Save yourself the hassle and leave the car behind. Walk, bike or shuttle to the event to avoid the road construction that surrounds the park this summer. The Recreation and Parks Department has arranged for buses to shuttle people from the Franklin County Fairgrounds to Municipal Park since the school parking lots that have been available for the event in past years will NOT be available to use this year. It is highly recommended that attendees who drive to the event park at the fairgrounds and shuttle to the park. There will be limited handicap parking near the west entrance of the park.

Hilliard's 4th of July is sponsored by Mount Carmel Health, Beer Barrel Pizza & Grill and KEMBA Financial Credit Union.

**Please note: The annual 4th of July Parade route will be a little different this year due to the construction on Scioto Darby and Leppert Roads. It will depart from the same location but end at the United Methodist Church instead of Heritage Middle School. The official route will be: Franklin County Fairgrounds; Main Street; Norwich Street; west on Cemetery Road to the roundabout; south on Main Street; and end at the United Methodist Church.
